INDUSTRIES
Seeking a technical cofounder
The conviction
A design is only as useful as our capacity to produce it.
Suppliers, processes, materials, lead times. These can determine whether a system stays a prototype or reaches meaningful scale. Bellona starts with the belief that those realities should shape the engineering.
Bellona is an American defense-industrial technology company in formation. No funding, customers, government contracts, or finished products to announce. The thesis still needs to be tested.
Our first investigation
Before we build systems,
understand what makes them possible.
The information layer beneath defense manufacturing.
Who can make what? With which processes, at what capacity, and under what constraints?
We’re investigating how a clearer picture of suppliers, capabilities, bottlenecks, and dependencies could improve production decisions: where to source, what can scale, and which constraints need to be addressed first.
Sentinel is a working concept. The first useful problem is still ours to choose.
The neo-prime thesis
Intelligence should become industrial capability.
Build a deep understanding of manufacturing capabilities, production constraints, and dependencies.
Develop manufacturing relationships and Bellona’s own supply chain around that understanding.
Create software and, eventually, physical defense systems designed for scalable American manufacturing.
Intelligence, software, manufacturing relationships, and later hardware should reinforce one another. That is the ambition. Each step has to be earned.
An invitation to build
Someone whose engineering judgment
changes what Bellona can become.
Depth in hardware, robotics, embedded systems, aerospace, mechanical or electrical engineering, manufacturing, or autonomy. Show me difficult things you’ve made, and what you learned when they failed.
Choose the first problem with me. Lead the engineering—from cost and sourcing to reliability and manufacturability. Help shape the company, its standards, and its people.
My side of the table
I bring the thesis, a strength in synthesizing information, and a commitment to research, customer discovery, relationships, and commercial work. I want a partner who challenges my assumptions.
A cofounder.
Not an employee.
Meaningful ownership and real responsibility. An honest conversation about equity and commitment. A roadmap we make together.
If you want a title or a finished plan, this probably isn’t for you.
If you want to build—and question the premise—we should talk.

Start with your work. Tell me where I’m wrong.
